Gin is – well, he’s Gin. Distrusted by most, and with good reason, he’s set up as the villain in canon. With a constant wide smile that suggests he finds everything amusing, eyes kept closed pretty much all the time that are, when opened, discovered to be blood-red, and a voice which is described by one of the main characters as making her feel as ‘though snakes were wrapping around [her] body’, Gin is not a really nice person. He lies. He manipulates. He uses sarcasm to the point where it’s very difficult to tell if he’s being truthful or not (especially given the fixed facial expression)
When he’s later revealed as not the main villain, but only a henchman, no one’s really surprised. They’re more surprised with the identity of the main perpetrator…but that’s a whole other story. We only see him once or twice after that, offering surprisingly thoughtful insight into the treatment of people, and the character of his fellow ‘bad guys’.
He’s interesting. That is…really the only word. A long-distance fighter (his sword can extend to incredible lengths), he appears to only really enjoy inflicting pain if there’s no chance for himself to be hurt. He’s afraid of dying, and wary of pain. His idea of a battle would be convincing two former allies/friends to fight each other, and then pick up the pieces afterwards. Maybe throw in a little torture just to spice things up. He is not a nice person. After dealing with him for god knows how many years, his vice-captain is now something of a wreck, and had a small breakdown after Gin manipulated him into fighting a dear childhood friend of his – real fighting, to the death.
He appears to be mainly just a rude, blunt, and uncaring man at first. Later, it is believed that he is a traitor, and a murderer, far more intelligent then he makes himself out to be. After that? No one’s really sure. But there’s one thing that they know.
Gin Ichimaru is a man who cannot be trusted. He is the man who is smiling as he cuts your throat. He is the man who slides a knife between your ribs instead of stabbing you in the back because he wants to see your face as you die. He is the kind of man who laughs at violence and blood and stays away even as he tries to get closer.
Gin Ichimaru is dangerous.

Gin is tall and skinny, standing 6'1 and weighing 152 lbs. He's got silver hair, and perpetually closed eyes. Unless it is stated in play, he will never stop smiling or open his eyes.
